Is there a silver lining?

The wild ride on Wall Street may be hard to watch, but there is an upside to the economic turmoil. Cheaper oil, and cheaper gas. Oil has sunk to a one-year low. Gas is now $3.40 a gallon on average nationwide, according to AAA. And you can expect to see prices keep dropping — maybe even below $3 a gallon soon.

High gas prices have commuters taking the T

This one is sort of a no-brainer. If you don’t like paying high gas prices, plus parking and other charges, try the subway! Rising gas prices sent commuters flocking to the MBTA in record numbers over the last 12 months. The MBTA said the largest increases came in ridership on buses and light rail, such as the Green Line.
